KENT COUNTY RETIRED SCHOOL PERSONNEL ASSOCIATION
The KCRSPA is true to its mission of advocacy for public education, initiatives that benefit children and their families and improvement of the general well-being of retired school personnel. While our association represents the smallest county in the State of Maryland and has a relatively small membership we are mighty in dedication and commitment to serve our community and our retirees. Each year we seek to increase our membership by visiting with potential retirees and regularly communicating with recent retirees who have not join our association. This year we proudly celebrate our sixty-second year anniversary.
Throughout the year, our association held four luncheons and general meetings, as well as four executive meetings in the months of October, December, March and June. We believe that fun and fellowship are important components of our meetings. We also endeavor to make our meetings informative by inviting guess speakers who share relevant, timely information. In December we shared Christmas cheer with gifts, singing and a lot of laughter. Each meeting featured a fifty-fifty raffle with proceeds going to our scholarship fund, which is awarded each year to a young person who will attend college with a declared education major.
